Dedicated to the memory of Pauline Middleton

Pauline Middleton was born in Thornaby on Tees, on 12 August 1932 and died in Ringmer on 4 April 2020.  A loving mother, homemaker and shopkeeper, Pauline was at the centre of the community.  She had an unwavering faith in God and was a founder member of Ringmer Baptist Church.  She worked tirelessly raising funds for numerous charities, including Ringmer Community Swimming Pool and World Vision; with over £30,000 collected in the boxes in Middletons Shop.

Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Brian Middleton, and her brother Peter, who was so special to her.  Pauline is survived by her son, Jeremy, and his wife, Mary Britt, and their children Elisabeth and Nicholas, and daughter Annali-Joy Thornicroft and her husband, Neil, and their son, Ewan.

Joy and Jeremy would like to thank all who cared for Pauline during the latter years of her life; particularly the staff of Lime Tree House and Dr. Butti and colleagues at Ringmer Surgery.

Thanks also to all who journeyed with her over the past 50 years in Ringmer and Heathfield and before that in the North of England. You enriched her life, encouraged her in her faith and have given us so many wonderful memories to share in the days ahead.
